Each day I look at my little Jennifer and she amazes me with her willingness to serve others. Although she is only nine years old she shows me ways to serve and more importantly the attitude in which to serve everyday. Whenever she is asked to complete a task, even one she doesn't really like, she completes it so sweetly and moves on. I can't believe my little girl is growing up.
Jennifer loves to cook. She especially loves it when I let her prepare a whole meal on her own. When she spends time with her Nin she watches every item to see if she can make the recipe on her own. Of course, her Nin lets her join in the recipe of the day with joy. Jennifer is making memories that will last her a lifetime. Jennifer doesn't realize at this time the treasures that she is laying up in Heaven by her daily acts of kindness. Since Jennifer has become a christian she takes it very serious. Training her has become more interesting, because she is usually praying about a wrong doing before I can speak with her about it. This in no way means that Jennifer doesn't make mistakes. I pray that Jennifer will continue to grow and serve others all the days of her life. I also pray that she finds a boundary and ways to recharge her batteries.
During my recent hospital stay, she was very worried about when I would return home. Each morning since I have been home she greets me with coffee (my favorite) and asks if there is anything that she can do for me. She has been very gracious to her little sister and cousin by playing games that she really doesn't care for in and effort to keep entertained while I rest. I know that Jennifer adds sunshine to each life that she comes in contact with. I can't say enough how blessed I am to have her in our family. I prayed for Jennifer during my whole pregnancy. I asked God if he would allow me to have this little blessing that I would give her back to HIM one day when she was ready. Thankfully Jon and I were blessed when Jennifer wanted to be baptized into Christ. Now I overhear her praying for Jon and me to handle our stresses whatever they may be.
I hope that you enjoy reading about my family and our journey through life.
