Each day I look at my little Jennifer and she amazes me with her willingness to serve others. Although she is only nine years old she shows me ways to serve and more importantly the attitude in which to serve everyday. Whenever she is asked to complete a task, even one she doesn't really like, she completes it so sweetly and moves on. I can't believe my little girl is growing up.
Jennifer loves to cook. She especially loves it when I let her prepare a whole meal on her own. When she spends time with her Nin she watches every item to see if she can make the recipe on her own. Of course, her Nin lets her join in the recipe of the day with joy. Jennifer is making memories that will last her a lifetime. Jennifer doesn't realize at this time the treasures that she is laying up in Heaven by her daily acts of kindness. Since Jennifer has become a christian she takes it very serious. Training her has become more interesting, because she is usually praying about a wrong doing before I can speak with her about it. This in no way means that Jennifer doesn't make mistakes. I pray that Jennifer will continue to grow and serve others all the days of her life. I also pray that she finds a boundary and ways to recharge her batteries.
During my recent hospital stay, she was very worried about when I would return home. Each morning since I have been home she greets me with coffee (my favorite) and asks if there is anything that she can do for me. She has been very gracious to her little sister and cousin by playing games that she really doesn't care for in and effort to keep entertained while I rest. I know that Jennifer adds sunshine to each life that she comes in contact with. I can't say enough how blessed I am to have her in our family. I prayed for Jennifer during my whole pregnancy. I asked God if he would allow me to have this little blessing that I would give her back to HIM one day when she was ready. Thankfully Jon and I were blessed when Jennifer wanted to be baptized into Christ. Now I overhear her praying for Jon and me to handle our stresses whatever they may be.
I hope that you enjoy reading about my family and our journey through life.

Waiting on Jessica~~
I want to be able to cherish all of the treasures life has to offer whether great or small. Jessica is definitely one of life's treasures. I hope that you will enjoy our journey together.
I have learned to wait with my Jessica. I prayed to have another child for five and a half years. God graciously provided her to our family. In this picture Jessica is thinking about whether or not this dress is the one she wants. This picture to me is an interesting representation of Jessica. Jessica takes her time in everything that she does and the rest of us just wait. For those who know me the waiting isn't always patient, but it is waiting all the same. We wait on her to get all of her "special" toys including other blanket, puppy, and happy bear. We wait on her to say a prayer during lunch. We wait on her to find her other shoe that feels just right, because not just any shoe will be right. We wait on her to get to the car when we are getting ready to leave. We also wait on her to put her seatbelt on once we are in the car ready to go. As I described before she keeps me praying. I am so glad that God gave her to our family and chose me to be her mommy. I look forward to more waiting as Jessica grows and learns about life. I strive daily to train her in the ways she should go. I hope and pray that I will learn to cherish the waiting during these years because as I have seen with my Jennifer it goes by way to fast.

Cooking Dasher Style
I couldn't ask for a better example of being a big sister. While Jennifer doesn't always want to teach her Jessica things. She usually finds it in her heart to share herself and help her sister learn valuable things. Jennifer is nine years old and in the phase of her life where she wants to be an individual. My job of course is to train her how to behave and learn to follow God. I am so thankful for the attitude that she has adopted and the sweet spirit with which she serves.

Then we have Jessica who usually is the one who keeps me on my knees praying for God's wisdom to train her correctly. However, there are certain times that I find her wanting to serve. This was a day that Jessica wanted to be in the kitchen helping Jennifer prepare a meal. I am one of those types of moms that generally think it's easier to do it myself, but I am trying to embrace that my girls won't be little forever so I need to treasure the times. Making memories is what I like to term it.

I hope that you will enjoy our journey together as I try to look for blessings at every turn and attempt to make memories along the way.
